| Audi's baby S may look like a dinky toy but this little stick of dynamite is a grin a minute once it gets going. It makes up for its lack of power and cylinders (when compared to its bigger brothers S4 / S6 / S8) with addictively cheeky handling and an uncanny ability to find grip when none really exists. Just missed out on 4 stars due to its ON or OFF throttle which became annoying when you weren't trying to go all out. Also the interior in our test car had little to distinguish it from a 1.6 A3. Otherwise a surprisingly fun little firecracker! | This custard-coloured bomb is a definite contender for the pocket-rocket prize. The little 4-cylinder engine springs to life after 4000 revs and everything gets really naughty after that. Not as many frills and gadgets as its big brothers but who needs more than the voluptuous, hugging leather Recaros? Give it two more pistons and it would earn itself another PetrolHead star! |
